We fillet the freshest mackerel which we lightly brine using traditional methods with no artificial flavourings, additives, or preservatives, we gently cold smoke to firm up the flesh and ensure the smoky flavour penetrates deep inside the fish. Before gently cooking at a low temperature in our smoke kilns.
The result is a delicious moist mackerel that just melts in the mouth with a subtle smokiness running through but where the mackerel is still the star of the show.
Delicious, versatile, and rich in omega 3 simply add cold to a summer salad or can be reheated and used in many ways.
We do not freeze our products so it’s perfect to freeze at home.
